D\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e2ge de 13 ans, il a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler avec assiduit\u00e9. Il a d\u00e9croch\u00e9 son premier emploi dans l\u2019h\u00f4tellerie en 1940, en tant que plongeur \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4tel Perren***. Apr\u00e8s avoir pass\u00e9 deux hivers comme chasseur \u00e0 l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel Post***, dans le domaine skiable d&rsquo;Arosa, il a suivi un apprentissage en service \u00e0 Crans-Montana. Afin d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer son fran\u00e7ais, il a ensuite travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 Vevey et suivi des cours de langue \u00e0 Estavayer-le-Lac et \u00e0 Martigny.    <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-bottom:15px\">Il a ensuite travaill\u00e9 pendant une saison comme serveur \u00e0 l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel Belv\u00e9d\u00e8re de Davos. De retour \u00e0 Zermatt, il a trouv\u00e9 un emploi au Grand H\u00f4tel Zermatterhof en tant que concierge et conducteur. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-bottom:15px\">Comme ce travail ne lui suffisait pas, il reprit en 1953, avec l&rsquo;aide de ses s\u0153urs, une \u00e9picerie. Pour poursuivre ses ambitions, il se lan\u00e7a finalement dans la cr\u00e9ation de sa propre entreprise sur les terres familiales. Sans aide financi\u00e8re ni emprunt hypoth\u00e9caire, il ouvrit en 1959 l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel Bristol, dot\u00e9 de quatre restaurants et d&rsquo;une piste de quilles.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-bottom:15px\">En 1960, il \u00e9pousa sa secr\u00e9taire de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque, Heidy Perren, qui avait travaill\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;\u00e9tablissement apr\u00e8s avoir obtenu son dipl\u00f4me \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9cole h\u00f4teli\u00e8re de Lucerne. Ensemble, ils dirig\u00e8rent l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel avec beaucoup de passion et le souci du d\u00e9tail. Jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la reprise de l&rsquo;\u00e9tablissement par son fils Francis en 2006, Heidy travaillait quotidiennement \u00e0 l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel. Le bien-\u00eatre des clients \u00e9tait pour elle une priorit\u00e9 absolue. Apr\u00e8s avoir obtenu son dipl\u00f4me, il a suivi les cours de l&rsquo;\u00e9cole h\u00f4teli\u00e8re de Sierre. Entre 1993 et 1999, il a acquis une pr\u00e9cieuse exp\u00e9rience en Suisse et \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tranger. De retour \u00e0 Zermatt, il a second\u00e9 son p\u00e8re en tant qu&rsquo;assistant de direction \u00e0 l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel. Il a ensuite eu l&rsquo;opportunit\u00e9 de diriger les restaurants d&rsquo;altitude Rothorn et Blauherd. Elle a notamment travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel National, au Papperla Pub et au Broken Bar. C&rsquo;est au restaurant Rothorn qu&rsquo;elle a finalement rencontr\u00e9 Francis \u2013 depuis, ils sont ins\u00e9parables. En 2003, leur fils Noel a vu le jour ; puis sont venus Kevin, Colin, Lian et, en 2014, Malin. Depuis 2021, la chienne Ebba fait \u00e9galement partie de cette grande famille. Josefin a soutenu Francis d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but dans la gestion de l\u2019\u00e9tablissement et a longtemps \u00e9t\u00e9 responsable de la d\u00e9coration int\u00e9rieure de l\u2019h\u00f4tel. \u00c0 mesure que Malin grandissait, Josefin a pris en charge de plus en plus de t\u00e2ches au bureau et dans l\u2019administration.
